Santa Monica, CA – Orion Health, a population health management and healthcare integration company, today announced the results of Black Book™ Rankings' 2015 Health Information Exchange (HIE) User Survey. In the report, Orion Health was ranked as the number one “Government Payer and Commercial Insurer HIE” vendor. Orion Health also received a second place ranking in the “Core HIE Systems Enterprise Centric Solutions” category.
“There are several distinguished HIE vendors and a lot of HIE organisations that are doing incredible work that represents the foundation for population health initiatives in communities across the country,” said Paul Viskovich, President, Orion Health. “We are honored to be ranked by our customers so highly and in so many categories, which is a reflection of the hard work of our technology and implementation teams. We are particularly gratified to see our leadership in privacy and security, which is extremely important to us and to our customers.”
In Q2 2014 through Q4 2014, Black Book polled 1,813 users of 224 operational public and private exchanges and 67 HIE vendors to determine the top performing vendors on twenty HIE-specific key performance indicators (KPIs). Orion Health was ranked number one in nine of the twenty KPIs, including: HIE stakeholder alignment; brand identity and market image; data use reliability/accuracy/continuity; data integrity; security and privacy; accountable care support; patient accessibility; configuration and interfaces; and vendor agnostic culture & practice.
“Government/payer sponsored HIEs have emerged as the most successful and sustainable HIE models, so Orion's ranking at the top of this category puts the company in an extremely important position in the market today,” said Doug Brown, Managing Partner, Black Book Research. “Clearly Orion Health's customers value the company's technology and services very highly and we saw that across all categories of HIE users in this survey.”
