Two leaders driving technology transformation at Orion Health named in CIO Magazine’s top CIO100. Executive Vice President for our Integration and Amadeus line of business, Dhaya Sivakumar, and Johan Vendrig, Chief Information Officer both share their views on leading different parts of the business in what is a particularly exciting time for healthcare IT.
The Health IT industry is often accused of being slow adopters of new technology, however Orion Health has challenged this by pushing boundaries and offering software delivered via the cloud.
Spending more than 3 years in development, Orion Health completed significant projects to migrate its Population Health suite to the cloud and delivered our Amadeus cloud platform. Dhaya believes the ability to deploy products in the cloud enables incredible innovation and digital transformation for healthcare providers adopting cloud services. We are seeing the acceleration of healthcare organisations to the cloud, also spurring on a vibrant ecosystem enabling a variety of apps from both Orion Health and other developers through our open APIs.
“This is an exciting period for us as we create and build the functionality necessary to enable the predicted health data explosion”, says Sivakumar.
Vendrig is a strong advocate for a collaborative approach, especially in a time of digital disruption, and believes empowering teams to drive the ideas is critical to innovation and success. Our internal IT team at Orion Health uses a number of integrated collaboration platforms to enable our developers to achieve ground-breaking innovation.
