Plus, doctors often rely on your input, and as a new parent, you might wonder what to mention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is tracking so important? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>How your child engages in play, absorbs knowledge, communicates, behaves, and explores their surroundings reveals valuable insights. Achieving milestones within the expected timelines can signal a healthy and on-track development. Here we delve into a few compelling reasons why keeping tabs on your child&#8217;s journey is paramount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Understand your child better\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tracking enables you to know what your&nbsp;child&nbsp;is good at and what they need additional help with. Tracking gives you an overall guide to your child\u2019s growth and development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Early diagnoses can mean early\u00a0interventions\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Insights from tracking milestones will help child healthcare providers identify and monitor&nbsp;developmental problems in the early stages, so they can initiate appropriate treatment plans.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In New Zealand, we track development achievements using&nbsp;30&nbsp;milestones, which include&nbsp;physical, cognitive, social and emotional, and communication milestones.&nbsp;The milestones are measured and tracked by many different organisations&nbsp;that&nbsp;cannot easily share information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ensuring every child receives universal healthcare services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Orion Health\u2019s\u00a0Amadeus <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/orionhealth.com\/solution\/child-health\/\">National Child Health Information Platform<\/a> (NCHIP)<\/strong>\u00a0is a national<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>child health information<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>platform\u00a0that\u00a0tracks\u00a030\u00a0developmental\u00a0milestones\u00a0for children aged between\u00a00-6 years old.\u00a0The platform has around 150,000 children currently enrolled\u00a0in the Northern Region\u00a0with 4.5\u00a0million milestones being monitored.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All children are automatically enrolled into the platform via the Maternity File or National Health Index feed.&nbsp;So, parents can rest assured their child is being tracked and monitored for healthy development.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NCHIP is a cloud-first platform, meaning children who move between regions can still be tracked without repeatedly sharing their details or risking losing contact with their child&#8217;s healthcare providers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color\"><strong><em>Curious for more?
