{"id":9035,"date":"2021-09-16T01:11:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T01:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orionhealth.com\/?p=9035"},"modified":"2024-08-15T22:16:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T22:16:51","slug":"orion-health-to-deliver-hospital-information-system-for-kaweka-healths-new-70m-surgery-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionhealth.com\/global\/media-releases\/orion-health-to-deliver-hospital-information-system-for-kaweka-healths-new-70m-surgery-facility\/","title":{"rendered":"Orion Health to deliver hospital information system for Kaweka Health\u2019s new $70M surgery facility"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Orion Health has today announced it has been selected as a software partner to Kaweka Health, a new $70 million elective surgery facility currently being built in New Zealand\u2019s Hawke&#8217;s Bay area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a formal RFP process, Orion Health stood out against the competition as Kaweka Health\u2019s partner of choice to implement a cloud-based solution comprising Orion Health Enterprise Patient Administration System and Clinical Portal products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Orion Health\u2019s vision is to provide Kaweka Health with a streamlined patient administration and clinical workflow that supports the seamless flow of patients throughout the health system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lyle Chetty, Director of Digital Services for Kaweka Health, says they were looking for an \u2018all-in-one\u2019 type platform that would keep the number of applications used within the new elective surgery facility as low as possible, and Orion Health\u2019s cloud-based solution was the obvious choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to be partnering with Orion Health to ensure Kaweka receives a modern, robust and highly capable digital services platform,\u201d says Mr Chetty.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOrion Health\u2019s proven experience in providing trusted digital solutions that enable better outcomes for staff, clinicians and, most importantly, our patients is paramount,\u201d he says. \u201cPartnering with a New Zealand-based company was also important to us and I am confident that the team\u2019s capabilities and approach will enable a successful implementation and long-term relationship\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Niru Rajakumar, Orion Health\u2019s Vice-President of Customer Success, says Kaweka Health\u2019s vision aligns perfectly with Orion Health\u2019s approach to working with private healthcare organisations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe want to enable a paperless journey and increase adoption of digital applications,\u201d says Mr Rajakumar. \u201cUltimately, our mission is to deliver solutions that provide a better patient experience, save cost and reduce inefficiencies.
