Its Health Information Exchange (HIE) is growing rapidly, receiving data from 58% of New Mexico hospital beds, 73% of emergency department admissions, and 80% of overall admissions. Organizations across the care spectrum are participating, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>39 hospitals (24 listed as data providers)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over 25 physician groups \u2022 Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laboratories and imaging centers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federally Qualified Health Centers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Home health and hospice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency Medical Services (EMS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public Health NMHIC also shares information with bordering states and offers a gateway to the national eHealth Exchange.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Objectives and Directions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The HIE\u2019s initial mission to foster data exchange among diverse institutions has evolved to creating a truly complete health record for each individual.
