We have also been very successful in enabling regional information sharing. In the summer of 2017, our five health board customers in the West of Scotland went fully live with a project to link their Orion Health portals together to improve cross-boundary care. The project now serves a population of over 2.2 million people and positively impacts over 10% of all elective procedures.
In 2019, we officially launched another exciting regional sharing project in the North of Scotland. This originally encompassed NHS Highland, NHS Grampian, NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney, with NHS Tayside and NHS Forth Valley following suit. Orion Health technology now enables information sharing across health and care for the benefit of more than 75% of the Scottish population.
Scotland continues to be a hotbed of innovation in digital health and care, with many more transformational projects to improve patient outcomes, clinical workflow and organisational efficiencies underway.
