Santa Monica, CA – Orion Health, a leading population health management company, today announced it has added three executives to its Consulting Services team: Dr. Cheryl McKay and Pam Stout have joined the company in the role of Nurse Executives, and Dr. Richard Swafford will be Director of Clinical Consulting. These executives' combined experience in clinical care settings at provider organizations and leadership positions at health information organizations adds depth to Orion Health's strong clinical leadership team. In their roles at Orion Health, these three executives will help support the increasing demand for client support in all project stages; from initiation to future planning.

As an Orion Health Nurse Executive, Dr. Cheryl McKay will be responsible for the successful design of care coordination programs and outcomes for clients using the Orion Health Healthier Populations suite of solutions. Dr. McKay has more than 20 years of healthcare executive experience and has a specific focus on international care coordination. Dr. McKay received her PhD with an emphasis on Care Coordination from the University of Texas System, her MSN as an Adult CNS from Azusa Pacific University and BSN from Mount St. Mary's in Los Angeles.
Pam Stout joins Orion Health as a Nurse Executive, where she will be responsible for business development and solution consulting. Bringing over 20 years of experience in clinical, technology, staff development and management expertise, Stout previously worked as a consultant for a Big 5 global consulting firm as well as a consultant for EHR and logistical software vendors in a variety of healthcare systems, including major academic medical centers, multi-entity health systems and community-based hospitals across the country. Stout's experience includes: performing business analyses, identifying operational performance improvement opportunities, and designing approaches to introduce and implement operational and technology changes. Stout is Board Certified in Nursing Informatics, Nationally Certified CNOR (Certified Nurse in Operating Room) and is a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt. Stout is also an active member of several professional organizations including HIMSS, AORN and ACHE.
Joining Orion Health as the Director of Clinical Consulting, Dr. Richard Swafford will be responsible for the delivery of consulting services focused on strategies for creating sustainable and growth-centered HIE organizations including financial, operational and staffing considerations. Dr. Swafford brings his recent experience of building and sustaining a public/ private health information exchange to Orion Health, which will help its customers build sustainable and future facing IT strategies for ongoing growth and expansion. Dr. Swafford has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry in a broad range of markets. He has spent the last decade focusing on healthcare technology with a concentration on building sustainable business models related to the deployment of technology systems.
