Hear from Joshua Horder, Digital Programme Manager at NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight on the information that care homes are able to access and how it&#8217;s beneficial to patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transcript<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the benefit of a shared care record to a care home? &nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, there are essentially three key benefits that the digital social care shared care record addresses: Where care homes use their own in-house shared care systems, we can integrate the shared care record alongside that. So, having the two levels of data sets working together provides access to information that those carers may have to go off and search and find and spend a lot of time doing that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having access to CHIE allows care providers to look up residents&#8217; medications and allergies. Hospitals might often send that after the patient, or bits and pieces might be missing.
