North of Scotland Care Portal launch

On February 14th 2019, a launch event was held at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for the North of Scotland Care Portal. This solution gives staff working in NHS Grampian, NHS Highland, NHS Orkney, and NHS Shetland a single view of patient information held in different IT systems across the boards. On the day we spoke with a number of clinicians and senior leaders on the impact that this portal will have on patient care and organisational efficiency.

Testimonials

  • The implementation of the clinical portal here on site has placed the voice of the child firmly at the centre of care. By ensuring that the clinical teams have access to the most accurate and up to date patient information at all times, the clinical portal ensures the delivery of high quality, effective and safe patient care.

  • I had a case recently where the patient couldn’t remember her medications. Luckily I was able to look at Connecting Care and have the necessary information to help with the assessment. It proved very helpful for the patient and made me feel much more confident in my assessment. I wish we could have it in all areas.

  • I was recently in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness and the doctor asked what I had. It was easier for me to just bring out my phone and show him how I’ve been keeping for the last six months, the medication I was on and what operations I’ve had since I was born.
