Health Informatics New Zealand Conference 2019
As a Gold sponsor, the Orion Health team are looking forward to an exciting few days of exhibiting at the HINZ conference. New Zealand’s largest digital health event this year is hosted at Claudelands, Hamilton from Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 November.
Orion Health has been powering New Zealand’s Health system since 1993 with a range of IT solutions. At HINZ, our team of experts will be available to provide updates and information on our solutions and how they can help provide better health outcomes to our citizens.
What will we be talking about?
This year, Orion Health is delighted to have nine speakers showcasing their expertise in various domains of healthcare technology. Amongst the impressive line-up of keynote speakers, we are most looking forward to hearing our guest speaker, Jocelyn Palmer, Connecting Care Programme Manager at NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit. Jocelyn has more than 20 years’ experience in driving technology programme and will be presenting on Connecting Care’s innovative partnership and interoperability programme. This award-winning programme is dedicated to using digital solutions to improve information sharing across health and care organisations in the UK. The Connecting Care Programme has evolved to become one of the most advanced shared care and personal health records in the UK.
Orion Health Product Director, Martin Trepanier will be presenting in the Digital Health Ideas category on Orion Health’s internet-based virtual care solution called Remote Patient Management (RPM). Virtual care demonstrates the potential of new care models on patients’ health and how these new care models can be fully integrated into healthcare services. A patient’s location and mobility will no longer limit the scope or quality of care available and the need to travel to a clinic will no longer prove a barrier for providing effective patient care.
Amongst, other Orion Health speakers, Jens Andreas, Medicines Product Manager will be presenting on the feasibility and reliability of using Machine Learning to automate the conversion of sigs from unstructured text to structured information, using natural language processing to integrate this within clinical software.
In addition to the range of speaking sessions, we are delighted to have several Orion Health subject matter experts positioned at our booth for discussions and demos. You can expect to see demonstrations on portal overviews with a focus on mobility, Remote Patient Management, Medicines and Care Pathways.
Supporting Diversity & Inclusion
Outside of the exhibition hall, we are proud to be sponsoring the Women in Health Tech Breakfast – a focus on Diversity and Inclusion on Thursday 21 at 7.30 am before activities for HINZ commence. If you haven’t yet registered for this, it’s definitely worth a look! With speakers from Deloitte and Air New Zealand, this session is set to be a conversation starter.
