Dorset is a region with a long history of partnership working. It is an Integrated Care System (ICS), known locally as ‘Our Dorset,’ which has evolved from many years of collaboration between the region’s health and social care organisations.

The Dorset Care Record (DCR) kicked off development in April 2017 to create an integrated digital care record. The procurement was led by Dorset County Council, in partnership with DCR partners NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (incorporating some 86 GP practices), Dorset County Hospital (DCHFT), Poole Hospital (PHFT), the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals (RBCH) and Dorset HealthCare, plus the now Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.
