Every year at the HIMSS Conference, we look forward to presenting sessions that are as educational as they are interesting.

This years’ HIMSS presentations will not only grant attendees a closer look at advancements in healthcare IT that change the way providers deliver—and patients receive— care, but they will also reveal where the industry is heading as a whole. We’re particularly excited to showcase the success of two of our clients, Cal INDEXand Scottsdale Health Partners, both of which are currently utilising Orion Health solutions to solve interoperability challenges.

First, our executive vice president of product and strategy, Dave Bennett, was selected to co-present a session titled, “Cal INDEX – A New Model for Collaboration,” with Cal INDEX CEO, Dave Watson, on Tuesday, March 1st at 1:00 p.m. PST. Cal INDEX, which services most of California’s patient and payer bases, is the largest independent statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) in the country. It relies on the Orion Health Rhapsody Platform to aggregate and securely share the data from all of its members and the various HIT systems they are using.

During the HIMSS presentation, executives will discuss the next steps in Cal INDEX’s quest to create a fully sustainable HIE that combines clinical and claims data for use at the point of care. Additionally, Dave Watson will explain how Cal INDEX is currently utilising Orion Health’s population health and interoperability solutions to coordinate patient data from across the state and overcome high health IT integration costs and other challenges associated with population health management.

On Thursday, March 3rd, at 8:30 a.m. PST, executives from Scottsdale Health Partners (SHP) will present a session titled, “A Vision for Connected Care.”

During this session, SHP COO, Faron Thompson, and SHP CSO, Tiffany Nelson, will describe how the physician-led Clinical Integration Network (CIN) implemented Orion Health’s data exchange, interoperability and population health solutions to achieve the Triple Aim.

Faron and Tiffany will share how the CIN is transforming healthcare delivery, now that is has full integrative HIE and communications technology.

Be sure to attend the presentations at HIMSS16 to learn more about how both HIEs and CINs are leveraging our technology to meet their needs today, and as market demands shift in the future.

If you can’t make either presentation, you can still stop by our HIMSS booth, #1626, to meet with our team and several of our clients and chat about interoperability, population health and precision medicine.
